DVDollars
Although to the younger generation DVDs are ancient technology—the truth is that they were only introduced in 1996 and didn't really become big until the 2000s, which isn't really that long ago. But, even with that being said, there is still a nostalgia factor that has led to some rare DVDs being worth quite a bit of money.
And while you might've thrown away your old VHS tapes long ago, many of us still have a stack of DVDs sitting on the shelf—which could mean you have a stack of money sitting on the shelf. Do you have any of these DVDs lying around?
Walt Disney Treasures Premium Collection
Now, unless you're a D23 member, you probably don't have this amazing collection sitting on your shelf. There were only 3,000 of these 57-Disc collections of Disney Treasures content made available to D23 members back in 2009—but should you have one, they have been known to sell on eBay for $2,000.

Howl’s Moving Castle
Yes, it's one of Hayao Miyazaki's most-beloved films, but just any old DVD copy of Howl’s Moving Castle isn't going to bring in the big bucks. What will though, is a “For Your Consideration” DVD screener copy—which sold for $600 on eBay last year.

Norm Macdonald was a one-of-a-kind comedian and fans' appreciation for him has only grown since his sad passing back in 2021—this includes an appreciation for his short-lived television series from the late 90s and early 2000s. Not enough folks watched The Norm Show back in the day for it to stay on the air for more than three seasons—but today, if you have the complete series box set, you could get upwards of $500 for it.
